~ Meagan & Kenny ~

I’ve been asked for a new blog post and it is true that I’m overdue. Here are a few of my favorites from Mr. & Mrs. Husband’s beautiful wedding at Walnut Tree Wedding Venue in Olton. I have adored this couple from the moment we met to book their wedding. They are so joyful and completely mad about each other.  It’s the crazy love of these couples that makes me love what I do.

Robyn & Eric – the wedding

This is officially the busiest spring I’ve seen yet! I’m headed all over from Austin to Alaska within the next few weeks and I’m so excited about the adventures that await me. As you know, blogging is an afterthought these days but I wanted to give you a few from Robyn & Eric’s gorgeous wedding. I’ll try to be better about blogging but I make no guarantees!

Jennifer and Fabian…

It has been a non-stop 2014 already and I could not be more excited about the things that God is doing. Here is a glimpse into what has taken place so far and I cannot wait to show you more.

I can not begin to tell you how much I love this couple and their wedding. The entire event was unlike any wedding I have shot before and probably will ever get to shoot again. It was fast and furious and everything was perfectly awesome! I love their style and creativity and I need to quit blabbing so you can just enjoy this beautiful wedding. I present to you Jennifer and Fabian’s amazing day…

What an amazing experience to work with Amy-Rose! We had a strong vision for what we wanted in our wedding photos, and I am truly blown away by these preview pictures. We were extraordinarily blessed by family & friends on our wedding day, including Amy-Rose. Thank you Amy-Rose & second shooter, Ashley Rodgers, for your investment in our wedding, in our creative vision, and in us. We won’t ever forget the positive experience we had with you, and we continue to share our memories of the day & our excitement over our photos. Looking forward to seeing more…and THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.
Much love,
Jennifer & Fabian Gutierrez

The simple things …

I’ve discovered from being both a mom and a photographer that all that I want is a simple, good image of my children. It doesn’t have to be crazy creative, just a simple photo done right. I’ve been a professionally photographer since 2006 and in those years I’ve tried a lot of different things only to discover that simplicity was what was needed all along. I want to watch my children change through the years and portray that in the images by seeing the children as they are. Every year I could repeat the exact location, exact lighting and exact pose with my children without being tired of it because they are all the change that I need to see.  I keep my children’s images chronologically in albums and I love watching the tiny changes in the pages. They are 7 and 4 now and one day when they have families and lives of their own I will cherish these images even more than I do now. Thank you, God, for pictures to remember these fleeting moments.

Here is just a tiny peek for you to enjoy…

These are so precious. I love the one with the kitten meowing! :) Natalie is growing up so fast and her beauty is breathtaking already! Your stellar images rock! And the last one of Noah – that’s Nathan x amount of years ago. SO. GOOD.

These are a few of my favorite things….

Some dear friends of ours found some three week old kittens in a pile of wood that they bottle fed and prepared for adoption. Natalie fell in love with one of them and I was a sucker and allowed her to bring it home. She is so precious and in need of a good name so if you have any good suggestions please leave a comment! Noah calls her ‘the ki–en’ and they are mesmerized all of her tiny features. I’m pretty sure she will make it onto our Christmas card this year as well so I’m excited to see how those turn out.x2197x2196x2198

Um. Precious. Just precious! Great shots! Embre’s name suggestion: “Pumpkin” (or Punkin’!)…I like “Kiki” or “Tara.” Have fuuuunnn!
